Meet Dr Heather Pelkey

Dr. Heather Pelkey has been a member of the Frost Family Pet Clinic team since 2019.  She grew up in northern IL and has been working in the veterinary field her whole life.  Since she graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, she has worked as a veterinarian helping patients achieve the best quality of life possible.

Dr. Heather truly enjoys getting to know her patients and working with their families to keep them healthy.  She feels communication and educating owners is so important in order to develop the best treatment and preventative plan for each patient.  Dr. Pelkey’s special interests include diagnostics, managing chronic diseases, preventative care, and dermatology.  She also worked at a bulldog specialty hospital for several years and is very skilled at managing their unique medical problems. 

In her free time, Dr. Heather enjoys spending time with her family, both 2 and 4 legged!
